Terms of Use

Effective date: August 25, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and cardVendo for use of the cardVendo app. Please read them. By creating an account or using the app, you accept them.

The short version

  • cardVendo is a tool for recording your own buying, selling, and trading. It is not a marketplace and we are never party to your deals.
  • Card prices shown in the app come from third-party catalogs. They are estimates, not appraisals, and not advice about what to pay or charge.
  • Your business records are yours. You can export them at any time and delete your account from inside the app.
  • Pro is a subscription that renews until you cancel. Cancel in your Apple ID settings. Lifetime is a one-time purchase and does not renew.
  • Refunds for anything bought through the App Store are handled by Apple, not by us.

Where this summary and the detail below differ, the detail governs.

1. Who we are

cardVendo (“cardVendo”, “we”, “us”) provides the cardVendo mobile app and the site at cardvendo.app. You can reach us at support@cardvendo.app.

2. Who may use cardVendo

You must be at least 13 years old, and at least 16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. If you use cardVendo for a business, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms on that business's behalf.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@cardvendo.app if you believe someone else has access to it. One person or business per account; do not share an account with people who should not see your inventory and margins.

4. What cardVendo is, and is not

cardVendo records transactions you make in the physical world. It is not a marketplace, a payment processor, an escrow service, or a broker. We are not a party to any purchase, sale, or trade you record, we do not take custody of cards or money, and we do not verify that a deal happened or that a card is authentic.

Disputes with your customers are between you and them. Grading, authentication, and the condition of any card are entirely outside what this app can determine.

5. Prices, values, and financial figures

Market values, price history, and price alerts are supplied by third-party card catalogs and are provided as-is. They can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. They are not appraisals, not offers, and not financial or investment advice.

Profit, margin, and event figures are arithmetic performed on the numbers you enter. They are only as accurate as your inputs. cardVendo is not accounting software and does not produce tax filings. You are responsible for your own books, your own taxes, and for meeting any legal obligation that applies to your trade.

Decide what to pay and what to charge yourself. Do not treat a number in this app as a valuation you can rely on against someone else's money.

6. Your content and records

Your inventory, sales, photos, and business records remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the app for you: storing that content, transmitting it between your devices, and processing it to produce the features you asked for. We do not use your business records for any other purpose. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Photos you attach to cards are stored at unlisted but publicly reachable URLs. This is described in detail in the Privacy Policy and you should read it before attaching a photo containing anything you would not want reachable by someone holding the link.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for anything you enter about other people, such as a customer's name in a note.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Subscriptions and purchases

cardVendo has a free tier and two paid tiers, Starter and Pro. Current prices, renewal periods, and what each tier includes are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.

If a plan limit is reached, features above that limit stop being available. Records you have already created remain yours, remain visible, and remain exportable.

“Unlimited scans” on Pro is subject to a monthly fair-use limit of 3,000 identified cards, which exists to stop automated or abusive use. If it is reached, scanning resumes on the 1st of the next month and every other feature keeps working.

9. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid plan provides, we will give notice in the app. We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service; the app is designed to keep working offline and to sync when a connection returns.

Third-party catalogs and recognition services can change or withdraw access on their own terms, which may affect features that depend on them.

10. Ending this agreement

You may stop using cardVendo at any time and delete your account from inside the app, which erases your records on our systems as described in the Privacy Policy. Export anything you want to keep first.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will try to warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.

11. Disclaimers and limits

cardVendo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost sales, or lost or inaccurate data. Our total liability for any claim relating to cardVendo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, you keep the statutory rights your local law gives you.

12. Apple-specific terms

The following apply when you obtain cardVendo through the App Store.

13. Third-party services

cardVendo links to and depends on services we do not control, including card catalogs, price sources, and the comparison links the app opens on external marketplaces. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and One Piece are trademarks of their respective owners. cardVendo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use cardVendo after that means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, stop using the app and, if you wish, delete your account.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts located there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings there.

16. Everything else

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor in connection with a merger or sale of the business. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about cardVendo.
